Jory Wheeler
Billing Coordinator
I just joined Schulz logistics at the beginning of 2024 and am excited to be a part of the team! I am a small town girl, growing up in Cairo, NE (yes, Nebraska, not Egypt 😉), which is just west of Grand Island. I moved to Lincoln for college and graduated from Nebraska Wesleyan University, with a degree in both elementary and special education. I’ve been in the education world for the past 19 years, teaching Kindergarten through 2nd grade, as well as coaching teachers on programming needs for students with Autism and severe behavior disorders. Although I loved my time in education, I am very excited for this transition into the accounting and transportation industry. I’ve been enjoying my time at Schulz and getting to know the company, team, and billing side of things. It’s all very different from what I’ve ever done, but I am truly loving it! In my short time here, I can already sense a great deal of teamwork and professionalism, yet all in a relaxed and “family feel” work environment.
Outside of work, I enjoy spending time at home with my boyfriend Curt, my 3 kids (Griffin-14, Barrett-7, and Palmer-4), and our 3 dogs (Max, Miles, and Lexi). It’s definitely a full house, that’s for sure! 😊 When we’re not busy with school or activities, we love to go on walks with the dogs, ride our bikes, and play at the park. We’re looking forward to this spring when we can get our garden started, as well as this summer for some quality fishing and camping time!
Warm weather also means time on the Harley…always fun to ride along and enjoy the beautiful weather and sites. I’m very much into crafts and painting, and have participated in several craft fairs over the years. I make anything from door hangers, porch signs, and miscellaneous home decor. If and when time allows, you can also find me either watching a movie, reading a book, cooking or baking, playing board games, or singing karaoke (not super great, but always a good time!).
